Give Kids W/Cancer Great Summer
My daughter Samantha Tanenbaum is the Director of a new day camp in Atlanta,Ga called Aurora Day Camp. It is part of the Sunrise Association in New York.
Aurora is a nonprofit camp offering FREE 6.5 week programs to kids with CANCER and their siblings. The philosophy is that they want to provide the kids a place where they can just be kids and bond with their family. So much of the time they are focused on treatment. The camp is staffed with a medical team to meet their needs.
The camp is run on donations.
I am asking for these funds so that Sami can implement the awesome programs she has created for them. She would love to have a circus week and all that comes with it. There are other unique themed weeks that would really be over the top if they could rent giant life sized inflatables. Visits from their favorite superhero’s are also on the list. All these things are just wishes right now. WITH YOUR HELP , IT CAN BE A REALITY!!!!
Additionally, the camp is housed in a school. She would like to transform the school each week into an a place where kids forget about everything other than just having fun. In order to do that, she needs to buy supplies to decorate. My mom and I are donating not only our money, but we are going to make many of the decorations ourselves and be there to help her get it off the ground.
