Are you looking for a way to Light the World this Christmas? We are raising money to give Christmas to needy families in Honduras.
The Backstory
My son is currently living in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He has seen firsthand the struggles the people have to provide for their basic needs.
Through a local church, his group has found 104 needy families in the city of San Pedro Sula and surrounding areas. They have volunteers ready to purchase and deliver needed supplies to these families.
The Costs
Every dollar you donate will go towards purchasing basic items for each family member--
- a pair of shorts, a T-shirt, sturdy sandals, a lightweight rain poncho, basic food items and a toy for the children. These volunteers are asking local shops if they can purchase items in bulk, making your dollars go even further. They will donate their time and resources to deliver all the gifts in time for Christmas. There are no delivery fees, no shipping costs, no overhead. All your dollars will go to a Honduran family for Christmas!
How you can help
Every $100 raised will give an entire family Christmas: gifts, clothing and food! These people have so very little that even a small amount will go a long way. Even a $5 donation can purchase a lot in Honduras and would be gratefully received! We are so grateful for any amount you can give. We need to reach our goal by December 9th to have time to purchase the needed items and deliver to families before Christmas.
