IGDA NY~Girls Inc. Girls Got Game!

Welcome to the GIRLS GOT GAME Campaign!
Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, providing more than 140,000 girls across the U.S. and Canada with life-changing experiences and solutions to the unique challenges girls face, and their Capital Region Game Development program needs your help! A group of Girls Inc. members has developed a wonderful game called Bear Hug! It is an adorable game where a mama bear ventures into the forest collecting hugs from other forest creatures and brings back the "hugs" to her little cubs at home .
Bear Hug showcases the incredible potential girls have in becoming game developers.
Unfortunately a classroom of girls must share 1 computer during class and the majority do not have access to computers or software at home. This class serves as the only opportunity for them to practice game development. In spite of sharing a computer with the entire classroom the girls were able to still create something substantial and creative. Think of what they can do with increased access and one computer per student!
Girls Inc. and the International Game Developer's Association's NYC chapter (IGDA NYC) need your help to give these girls the best possible opportunity and learning experience. In addition, girls' experience with and exposure to technology and game development girls at this time in their life may help inspire more girls (and women) to pursue careers in STEM fields.
GIRLS GOT GAME Campaign Goals:
Our goal is to have five Microsoft Surface 3's for the classroom and if possible, Photoshop Creative Cloud licenses.
First Tier Goal-
