My name is Rob. I've known Eileen since high-school, and it is a pleasure to know such a wonderful and inspiring young woman. She made a difficult decision to donate her kidney last year and, via cross country tour, is hoping to make a difference.
She has asked me to be her wingman for the bike fundraiser she will be doing this May to August 2016 from Vancouver BC to St. John's Newfoundland. I have gladly accepted as I also want to use my skillset to make a difference. I will be her bike mechanic for this epic journey in support of her endeavours to raising organ donation awareness.
I am hoping to raise the funds that is required to support the 3+ month ride. The donations will be used mainly for food and emergencies for the 3+ months and any extra proceeds will go directly to the Canadian Transplant Association.
