Our beloved brother was taken from us on the 26th December 2016 at Wooli Beach on our family trip on Boxing Day that we do every year. What started out like any other year quickly become our family's heartbreak trip. Geoffrey had taken his brothers grandchildren over to have a swim in between the flags, while they where there a rip had formed and they had become caught Geoffrey had help one of the kids by pushing them in on the bodyboard and while he was waiting for the lifeguard had be taken under. One of our family members 19 year old Jasmine Blackadder had got to the 4 children and help them into the shore, when her sister had said uncle Geoffrey was still out there somewhere. Jasmine had seen the lifeguard trying to get her attention for her to come and help him with Geoffrey. Once they got him in the NSW Ambulance Paramedics tried to revive him however he passed away. As a family we believe in looking after our own but at this time financially are unable to pay for everything on our own and we would also like to raise money to be donated to all services that where there to help our family in our time of heartbreak. And we would like to be able to help the Wooli Beach Lifeguards as the access to the Beach for them hindered with the rescue.
