What would you do if you had four children, two of whom were disabled, and a husband who had a heart attack and is unable to work while he is hospitalized needing open heart surgery?
I am writing this to ask you in this joyful Easter season to consider helping a sweet Catholic family from my church who are bearing these very heavy crosses. The Gennarelli family have four children, two of whom have special needs. Dominic is autistic and non-verbal, requiring almost constant attention. Valentina was born very premature a couple years ago and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsey; she is also non-verbal. This last Monday, Mr. Pat Gennarelli suffered a heart attack, and this coming Monday will be undergoing a triple bypass heart surgery.
His wife Gabriella is a stay at home mother homeschooling her two older daughters and caring around the clock for her two disabled children. Pat works in a computer field as an independant contractor, and has even been working nights for a valet parking company to support his family. Their crosses are great, and with Pat supposed to be starting a new job next week, the family will be without any income while he is in the hospital and recovering from open heart surgery.
Can you help them by praying, and giving what you can so that Gabriella does not need to worry about funds to buy groceries, pay their rent, and take care of her family?
