Car For Rob

Hello friends and supporters of the Clinton Book Shop. You don't see me post very often but I like to take the time to ask for your help. And many of you know I don't ask for your help ever but today I like for you to be aware of something that is very important to me and the Clinton Book Shop. As some of you may know, Rob is truly indispensable to the Clinton Book Shop and for me in life. He drives 45 minutes one way from Allentown PA nearly every day and makes the trek home at night, often in lots of traffic on the Interstate. His car of 15 years and 300,000 miles has finally crapped out for good. That car has been repaired and repaired so many times I don't know how it kept running this long. It is just unsafe to drive any longer. Ok, we could pump a lot more money into it to revive it one more time, but I just don't want him driving it, knowing it will break down anytime and anywhere. To make a long story short, I have an opportunity to help him in a big way. There is an organization called BINC that helps booksellers around this country in times of dire need. They are more than willing to come to our aid through a program where if I can raise up to $2000, they will match that with a grant. Again, this is not easy to ask but if some of you can see to helping with a small donation, I would be forever grateful. I will put up $1000 from the Clinton Book Shop to get the fund started. If I can find a way to get another $1000 within the next 2 weeks, I would get the grant so I can give Rob the money to get himself a used, not expensive but reliable vehicle. Again, I would be forever grateful to you. Rob is always there for me when I need it, I like to make this happen for him. Thanks for listening. Harvey
