Grace Webner, 15-year-old daughter of Chris and Lauri Webner, of Panora, Iowa, is an active freshman student-athlete at Panorama High School. Grace was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma on January 10. Grace's treatment plan is still being developed at this time, but it is expected she will begin an aggressive chemotherapy regimen next week (week of Jan 21).
Goal 1: $2,500 for wig(s) - CRUSHED IT!
There is so much yet to understand about what will come next for Grace and her family, but one thing we know is that Grace will likely lose her hair. She has expressed that, if possible, she would like to have a wig from her own hair. We want to help make that happen for Grace and it needs to happen quickly. A custom wig takes 8-10 weeks to produce so Grace may also need a synthetic wig in the meantime. A small group of friends and family has already raised $1,000! With the permission of the Webners, this Go Fund Me is being set up to cover the initial costs of the wig(s). Insurance may cover a portion of this expense, but the Webners will need to pay for it upfront. Research has been conducted, a wigmaker has been selected and now we need your help. Please consider donating to help Grace feel as comfortable as possible during this challenging time.
Goal 2: $5,000 - Expenses not covered by insurance
The purpose and goals of this Go Fund Me may change over time. Now that the goal for the wig(s) has been reached, any additional funds will be applied to expenses not covered by insurance.
