Gaby's Volunteer Trip to Manila

Hey there! My name is Gaby Galban and i am fundraising for my volunteer trip to Manila, Phillipines!
It's one of my main aspirations in life to make as much change in the world as I can. My life makes sense and is given a purpose when I'm giving of myself and improving the lives of others. I feel alive when I'm making a difference, no matter the scale. I believe It's our humans purpose to love one another. Love is to respect, trust, protect, serve... I have been blessed too heavily to not give back. I am healthy and young, with plenty of time (which should not be taken for granted and be used efficiently.) On the other hand, service results in growth and discovery of a new and deeper knowledge about life's journey and ones self. I believe a person becomes a better version of themselves through experience and service. By reaching out of ones comfort zone, a person is exposed to new things and is naturally pressured to adjust to the situation, resulting in a development like no other.
HOPE worldwide is an international charity that changes lives by harnessing the compassion and commitment of dedicated volunteers to deliver sustainable, community-based services to the poor and needy. This program has given me the opportunity to use my skills and drive to help communities while at the same time molding myself into the person i want to be. This winter break, I will be volunteering in Manila, Philippines through their Youth Corps. The funds I anticipate to raise will go directly to the fee of the volunteer program; contributing to my accomodations, meals and transport to and from the project sites. You won't only be helping me have an amazing life changing trip, but will also be helping the less fortunate families and children in the Philippines who so dearly need our help. Any little donation will mean so much and will go a long way.
