Giving our baby the bestest start!

After a tumultuous summer; we finally got both our gorgeous little girl, and an offer of permanent housing! This comes with a little caveat, though - namely; that we need to do a complete furnish and decorate on our new home. From scratch.

So that's why we're fundraising. We want our daughter to have the best start she possibly can, in the most comfortable and loving home possible; but because of some cuts to social care funds, we need (and would really appreciate) your help to try and get the following into our new home:
A fridge and freezer, or a combi unit.
An electric oven and hob.
A bed for mummy and daddy.
Many carpets (also tiles for our bathroom!)
Curtains, blinds, those sorts of things
Seating for our lounge (sofa & armchair(s?))
A dining table and chairs (to seat four)
A washing machine and tumble drier
A coffee table
Wardrobes and other clothing storage furniture
Lights!
A rocking chair for mummy to breastfeed in

And so on... All the stuff that goes into making a house a home. We're hoping to get close to our target as quickly as we can; but ideally we'd've met (or even exceeded) our target within a month.

This is a huge thing for us - as you can imagine. Having a home of our own to raise and nurture our little girl in is probably the most important thing we could hope for. We'll be more grateful than we can express even for small donations towards our goal - for some perspective, £5 buys us enough lightbulbs to light all of our daytime rooms. £10 can buy us an adjustable lamp for our baby's bedroom. £20 can buy us a changing table so poor ol' dad doesn't have to keep knackering his already knackered knees changing the baby on the floor.

You get the idea. But little donations soon add up to become big donations - the aim of our campaign.
