Baby Daniel Jr. Fund

Daniel Jr. Kosinski passed away on July 28th, 2018 at an innocent and tender age of 8 weeks young.  I cannot begin to comprehend the agony and emptiness Daniel and Agnieszka (Aggie) are feeling.  They have lost their first born child after 8 weeks of pain, frustration, and heartache.

Agnieszka was 26 weeks pregnant when on a routine doctor checkup she learned she was having pregnancy complications.  A few hours later, on June 1st, 2018 she went into emergency labor and gave birth to beautiful baby Daniel Jr.  Little Daniel Jr. weighed only 1lb and 3oz and was immediately transported to the NICU.  The doctors initially were giving little Daniel Jr. small chances of survival.  However, the tiny peanut surprised everyone and within a few days was stable and seemed well on his way to recovery.

Unfortunately, a couple weeks later Daniel and Agnieszka were informed that their tiny bundle of joy needed surgery to correct an abnormality in his small intestine.  A few weeks after the surgery on July 3rd, little Daniel Jr. contracted a blood infection that attacked organ after organ.  This event started a waterfall of complications and bad news seemed to transpire daily.

Numerous times the doctors delivered emergency phone calls to Daniel and Agnieszka asking them to come quickly and say their final goodbyes to their beloved first son.  On more than one such occasion, Agnieszka asked to hold her son for the last time.  When she did, little Daniel's vitals would return to normal and the little fighter would live to see another day.  Agnieszka's motherly touch, warmth, and love were strong enough to define modern medicine and provide their son with the power and will to live.  When this happened, the doctors and staff declared it a miracle.  Unfortunately, on July 28th, 2018 the miraculously strong and fighting tiny Daniel Jr. traded his earthly existence for angel status and left our world.

Daniel and Agnieszka lived through an 8 week roller coaster of events and emotions.  Even though little Daniel Jr. was with them for a very short period of time, he managed to remind them, and the world, how fragile life really is and how important it is to cherish it and to fight for every living breath.  I am very fortunate that Daniel and Agnieszka asked me to be Daniel Jr. Godfather and that I had the opportunity to be present in his short, but yet so meaningful life.

It's every parent's worst nightmare to even consider the idea of having to bury their own child.  As a parent myself, I cannot begin to comprehend the thought.  Agnieszka and Daniel are left heartbroken and in search of answers.  I cannot imagine the pain, agony, and anguish they are experiencing in their hearts.

In an effort to support each other and their beloved son, Daniel and Agnieszka both quit their jobs.  In addition to the psychological burden they are struggling to cope with, they are left with a mounting pile of medical bills and funeral expenses.  I ask that you please offer support through prayer and a donation in order to help them ease the pain and suffering in this difficult time.  The healing process will be long and challenging.  However, I am certain that with the support of friends, family, and loved ones Daniel and Aggie will find the strength to persevere.
