Fundraising to help Awet Yohannes (Tilla)

ዓወት ዮውሃንስ ሓደ ካብቶም ኣብ ቅድድም ብሽክለታ ተስፋ ተነቢርሎም ዝነበሩ መንእሰያት  እዩ ኔይሩ:: ቀደም ዝፈልጦ ኹሉ ኣብ ቅድድም ብሽክለታ  ኤረትራ ኣሰር ክገድፍ እዩ ዝብል ተስፋ ነይርዎ እንተኾነ ግን ከም ኩሉ መንእሰይ ተስፋኡን  ሕልሙን ግዳይ ኣብ ሃገራዊ ኣገልጉሎት ክኸይድ ምስ ተገብረ ነገራት ተቐየሩ::
   ኣብ ሃገራዊ ኣገልጉሎት እንከሎ ሓንቲ ካብተን መሳትኡ ኣፍቂሩ : ንመርዓ'ውን በጺሖም:: ዓወትን ብዓልቲ ቤቱንድሕሪ ቁሩብ ግዜ ቦኽሪ ውላዶም ጏል ተበኮሩ :: በቲ ኣብ ሃገር ዝነበረ ኩነታት ቀሲኖም ክነብሩ ስለዘይ ካኣሉ ድማ ከም ሰቦም ናብ ስደት ናብ ኢትዮጵያ ኣምርሑ :: ኣብ ኢትዮጵያ ኣብ ማዓስከር ስደተኛታት ኮይኖም ድማ ካልኣይ ውላዶም ወዲ ወለዱ :: ድሕሪ ነዊሕ ትጽቢት ኣብ ማዓስከር ስደተኛታት ዓወት ምስ ስድርኡ ብሕ.መ.ኣ. ተቐባልነት ስለዝረኸበ ናብ ኣመሪካ ኣተዉ:: ባፍሎ ኣብ እትባሃል ከተማ ኣብ ኒው ዮርክ ስቴት ኣትዮም ድማ ሓድሽ ናብራ ጀመሩ::
ድሒሩ ከም ዝተፈልጠ ዓወት ግቡእ ኣቓልቦ ብዘይ ተገበረሉ ናይ ኣእምሮ ጸገም ይሳቐ ጸኒሑ'ዩ:  እዚ ናይ ኣእምሮ ሽግር እዚድማዩ ቀንዲ መበገሲ ፍልልይ ሓዳሮምን መወዳእትኡ'ውን ፍትሖምን:: ካልእ ዘሕዝን ነገር ድማ ዓወት በዚ ሕማም  እንዳተሳቐየ ኮሎ ኣብ ልዕሊ ብዓልቲ ቤቱ ጉድኣት ኣውሪዱ: ጽቡቕ ኣጋጣሚ ኮይኑ ብዓልቲ ቤቱ ካብቲ ዝወረዳ ጉድኣት ሓውያ እያ ::
ዓወት በቲ ኣብ ብዓልቲ ቤቱ ዘውረዶ ጉድኣት ን18 ዓመት ማእሰርቲ ተፈሪድዎ :: ድሮ ድማ 8ተ ዓመት ወዲኡዎ ነቲ ዝተረፈ ዓመታት ኣብ  ምክትታል ይርከብ:: ጎድኒ ጎድኒ ድማ እቲ ዘድልዮ ዝነበረ ናይ ስነ ኣእምሮ ሕክምና ይከታተል ኣሎ :: ኣብ ልዕሊ ብዓልቲ ቤቱን ኣደ ደቁን ብዘውረዶ  ጉድኣት ድማ ኣዝዩ ይጣዓስ :: ስለዚ ንዓወት ዘድልዮ መሰረታዊ ነገራት ንምምላእ ናይ ሓገዝ ፈንድ ረይዘር ንጅምር ኣለና :: 
እዚ ኹሉ ብኣፍልጦ ብዓልቲ ቤቱን ካልኦት ቤተሰቡን እዩ ዝካየድ ዘሎ :: ነዚ መደብ ንምዕዋት ንእትገብሩልና ናይ ገንዘብ  ሓገዝን እዚ ሓበሬታ ኣብ ኩሎም የዕርኹቱን ፈተውቱን ንክባጻሕ ሸር ኣብ ምግባር ትገብርዎ ጻዕርን ኣቐዲምና ነመስግን የቐንየልና ::
                 
ቤተሰብን የዕሩኽን ዓወት ዮውሃንስ ::

Awet Yohannes was one of the aspiring cyclists in Eritrea.  Anyone who knows him knew he had a dream to make a positive impact to in Eritrean cycling history. But, before he got a chance to make his dream a reality, he was conscripted into national service.

While on national service, Awet fell in love and got married in 2004. Soon Awet and his wife welcomed their first daughter. Unable to secure a stable and peacefull life for him self and his family, he and his family had to flee their beloved country and seek refuge in one of the refugee centers in Ethiopia. Soon after they settled in the refugee camp, they welcomed their second kid, a boy.

After long wait at the refuge camp, Awet and his family got a chance to resettle in the United States of America and started a new life in Buffalo, New York.  All along, Awet has been suffering from undiagnosed mental health problem.  This problem was the root cause of a rift in his marriage that eventually led to breakdown of their marriage and the unfortunate act of harming his beloved wife. Fortunately, his wife has recovered from her injuries and is raising their two kids as a single mother.

Awet has been sentenced to serve 18 years in prison in 2011. He has already served 8 years. He is getting the medical attention that he needed and he utterly regrets the unfortunate act of harming his wife and mother of his two lovely kids.

With the consent of his wife and relatives, we are launching a fundraising effort to help him with his financial needs while incarcerated.
