I am here to raise funds for the deaf community in Puerto Rico.
We hope that by sharing our personal stories of accomplishments, we will inspire them to believe that they can achieve anything they dream!
New facts:
Puerto Rico has more than 150,000 Deaf/Hard of Hearing people. Between 8,000 to 15,000 Deaf/HoH children with...an estimated 10 percent of those served by Deaf school or mainstream classes. Imagine that? 10%?! And LESS than 5% hearing family with deaf child can communicate in sign language...Many Deaf children in Puerto Rico become Deaf adults with a bleak future as they are cut off from society by their lack of language. (Sources from ESD).
It's time to raise deaf awareness in Puerto Rico for a better future. It's time to improve education system, create more opportunities, and establish a more effective communication between parent and child. The Deaf community in Puerto Rico will truly appreciate it.
Would you kindly consider making a small donation for the Deaf community in Puerto Rico?
Our goal and purpose is to encourage a better education system and better Deaf awareness, so that we can ensure a better future for every child within the Deaf communities of Puerto Rico! Nothing is too small. $5 can make a huge difference in other's life.
All of money will cover included - for the electricity at the school, food (lunches & snacks), transportation expenses of the kids, books, classroom maintenance, computers/laptops, and school trips.
If the goal is not completed, we will find a way to donate what the school really needed.
In appreciation of your donation, you will receive a small "Thank You" gift in return!
