Fund An Ad In Support of the North Shore B-Line!
Donation protected
UPDATE: Though we have missed the deadline for running an ad in this week's North Shore News, we are still accepting donations! We are currently looking at running a Facebook and Instagram campaign to encourage North Shore residents to write to Council, and looking at a later ad in the North Shore News. As decisions are made, we will be sure to update you, including if refunds will be given.
There has been a lot of controversy around the proposed North Shore B-Line along Marine Drive. In particular, a few angry West Vancouver residents have begun a campaign to have the B-Line stopped. They've focused on the removal of 25 parking spots and the creation of the dedicated bus lane, but make no mistake - they're opposed to all of the B-Line.
This misinformation has gone on for far too long, and it's time the silent majority - in favour of smart transit solutions - speaks out. In last week's North Shore News, the anti-B-Line camp advertised against the proposal. It's time we advertise in favour - and counter the disinformation their campaign is spreading.
We want to run a counter-ad in Wednesday's North Shore News - a full page colour ad will cost us $1800, and we're fundraising to do just that. We need to fundraise on a very short timeframe - by Monday morning at 8AM.
By donating, you are helping to convince West Vancouver Mayor and Council to invest in transit, and invest in our region - to the benefit of all.
