2015 was the worst year of my friend Anj's life. She lost her beautiful daughter Bella to a man who she thought she loved! A man she called her best friend unfortunately he was neither. He was a terrible human!
It was a day before three-year-old Bella circum to her terrible injuries that she suffered when the 100kg man stood on her stomach.
But it took her killer – gripped by fear, shame and guilt, seven months to admit to the extent of his crime – that he had placed his full weight on the child "in frustration" after tripping over her as she played on the floor.
He then told Bella to tell her mother Anj that she had a stomach ache and sent her to bed.
She died the next day from blunt force trauma to the abdomen, a ruptured liver and bleeding in both kidneys.
After this tragedy Anj wanted to try and leave the bad memories behind, she and her two sons moved to Melbourne and have been staying with a friend. Anj has recently been approved for a home but unfortunately doesn't have the funds to pay the bond and months rent in advance as the real estate requires.
$3,000, will stop Anj and her little family from having to live in a motel room.
