Uganda Hands of Action Feeding Program
I visited his village in Jan 2012 (then again in Jan 2013), where I met and fell in love with these children and with Moses and his family. After my visit, I vowed to work hard to find partners to come along side Moses and his village to provide money to sustain this feeding program until a long term solution is found.
Moses and I along with leaders in his community are working on a way for his village to feed these children without relying on foreign aid and charity, but this will not happen overnight. They are very motivated to become self sufficient, and we have hopes that they will be able to fully take over the expenses of the feeding program within 24-36 months!
NO donation is too small. It all adds up! Please consider giving a one time gift, or even consider partnering with us by pledging a monthly gift. Each month we need to raise $1190 ($1140 food, $50 transfer fees, Gofundme fees and Paypal fees) to feed the kids. IF WE RECEIVE MORE, then the extra goes to the feeding program CHICKEN project..because eventually this village will be able to manage without our assistance if they have resources such as a chicken program!
If you can't give financially, please consider helping us by sharing this with your friends. Please feel free to friend me on Facebook at Jennifer Karina Anderson if you would like to learn more about the work I am doing in Africa.
(Thank you to everyone who is continuing to donate through this page! Each month I will be increasing the total needed by 800 dollars to show what we are lacking for the current month for feeding the children) If you EVER have any questions please contact me! Thank you!
What an amazing donation you've received for the treatment of eye disorders and glasses - something close to my heart as my father was an optometrist in South Africa for nearly 50 years. Few low-income countries allocate sufficient funding for eye care and dentistry in their health budgets, and so many people go their whole lives without ever receiving an eye or dental exam. For someone like me, who is severely short sighted, I would be quite disabled without glasses - a problem so easily corrected, and so debilitating when not.
THANK YOU for the $100 donation anonymous! :) We are going to be in need of funding through the end of April...and this will feed the children for a full week!!! WOW. Any size donation is helpful. This month we had another $100 donation as well to buy chickens so that the community can start a chicken farm to feed the kids and to sell the eggs and chicks to buy food. We are on our way to sustainability! Want to provide money for the chicken farm? Just tell me to put it toward that :)
We are nearly to our goal to feed these kids through the end of March! Let's make it happen! Share this need...Donate...we can do this!
I am so happy to be able to help ...These children didn't choose this..Thank God we have this outlet to help them ...you are all angels helping them ...sending positive energy and much love xoxoxo
We are making great progress toward our goal! Lets really get the word out there! Post and repost! Share all you can on fb! We can do this!
We did it! February food is now covered for the children in Moses community. THANK YOU! Let's move onto March! We need some breathing room so that these kids are assured consistent food, and we have time to start our work toward a self sufficiency plan!
Please leave comments and suggestions! How can I best promote this? Do you know of any funders who might help with a long term solution such as goat rearing or keeping chickens?
