Friends Of Ober Fire Relief

On November 28, 2016, our lives were forever changed by the devastating wild fires that quickly spread, taking our beloved mountain town, Gatlinburg, and reducing hundreds of structures to ashes in minutes. I, Jaime Dunn, a former Ski Patroller at Ober Gatlinburg, have been so inspired by my friends, Pete and Joy Jucker and Amanda Ogle, three ski patrollers who lost their homes in this terrible disaster. I have been inspired by them and their giving to set up this fund directly to honor ALL of the Ober Gatlinburg employees and affilliates.
Ober Gatlinburg is one of the biggest organizations in Gatlinburg and they have given so much over the years to assist our community. When I heard that over a dozen Ober Gatlinburg employees had lost their homes completely and that more than a hundred employees have been displaced, I was in shock. Ober Gatlinburg is working tirelessly to assist their employees in finding temporary housing, continuing to pay them despite the resort remaining closed for the past week. I'm seeking your help in easing the burden on the people who have been affected by this, many lifelong residents of Gatlinburg, people who've helped you rent your skis, people who have helped you get on and off the ski lift, people who have helped you get on the wonderful tram, people who have served you hot cocoa beside the lodge fire. The entirety of this fund will go into a separate bank account to be donated directly to all Ober Gatlinburg Employees who were affected by the wildfires. Ober Gatlinburg will be directly in charge of taking the money and disbursing it through their payroll department. I am praying that we can meet and exceed this goal before December 25, 2016 so that we may give as much as we can to our beloved mountain and the special people that run it!
