I would like to participate with other groups standing up and saying to this administration, “Not in my Name” “we will not be silenced” We demand
- immediate reunification of children with their families.
- the end of family detention.
- basic human decency
My participation was spurred by the group on the east coast traveling to McAllen, Texas. They are leaving on July 31 and arrive on August 6th. Details at Granniesrespond.org. There is a west coast network starting. Some traveling by car to Texas, some flying down, some considering participation in SanDiego port of entry and woman’s immigration detention center- to coincide with the Texas group on August 6th.
I will be participating in one or the other, leaving from the central coast of CA. I invite all those who can to support and/ or join me. All funds that are not used for logistics will be donated to the organizations working with the immigrant families.
