Freistadt fighting climate change

Climate change threatens us all. The least advantaged among us are already suffering the effects of climate change which are largely caused by the wealthy. Louisiana, one of the poorest states in the United States, is caught in the stranglehold of the extractive industries. We must enact a deep cultural change from fossil fuel dependence to a clean economy.
I will use funds raised here to support my candidacy for Louisiana State Representative, District 98. To my knowledge, I am the only candidate in my district (and one of few in the state) primarily focused on environmental issues. I have been a climate activist for about two years. But I’ve realized that the only way we will save our planet is to elect honest policy makers who will prioritize fighting climate change. My platforms include: make Louisiana 100% clean energy, create a sovereign fund to return extractive profits to the citizens of Louisiana, build high-speed rails for important corridors and ban single-use plastics.
The election is October 12, 2019. Early financial support is critical, so now is the time to donate! The money will only be used for campaign materials, such as signs.
Your support would mean so much to me. This is a very low budget campaign, but there are some expenses that I cannot undergird alone. Moreover, I am not doing this for myself. I am doing this for all God’s children. We all drink the same water and breath the same air.
