Frack Free Ryedale support fund

We are a group of concerned residents fighting hydraulic fracking in Ryedale, North Yorkshire. Evidence from reputable studies and anecdotes from across the globe have demonstrated that this is a fundamentally dangerous industry which cannot be allowed to continue. 

Huge parts of our region are covered in PEDL licenses. In May 2016 North Yorkshire County Council passed permission for fracking at KM8 in Kirby Misperton. In December 2016 the Judicial Review into this decision was dismissed. We will continue to support the residents of Kirby Misperton and surrounding villages in opposing this development. 

It is also clear that the fracking industry will attempt to ramp up actions across the rest of the region, in an attempt to establish a thorough network of fracking wells which would transform our landscape irreparably.  We are working with local communities to spread resources and information to everyone who is threatened by fracking.
