NMSA Service Learning Trip to Haiti

Donation protected

New Mexico School for the Arts is a public Charter High School in Santa Fe, NM. We believe in the importance of service learning and global citizenship. We are student artists (dancers, actors, musicians, and visual artists) devoted to the Arts as a means to positively impact society. During the summer of 2016 we have a unique opportunity to create and facilitate a summer arts program for children at an orphanage in Caye Jacmel, Haiti. These children have been orphaned or abandoned and are currently living at the Devoted to Children (D2C) Family Home. We hope to not only create a summer arts program for the children, but to co-create a community project such as a garden or mural with the locals of Caye Jacmel. Many NMSA students have never left the US. This trip will be a truly life changing opportunity for both NMSA students and their Haitian counterparts. The cost is prohibitive for our students, and your generosity will help make this dream possible. We are fundraising for travel, supplies, and donations for the D2C Family Home. Students will have indivudual campaigns as well. Please support us by donating and sharing this campaign. Thank you so very much for sending New Mexican Artists to Haiti!!

Please see the D2C  Foundation Video to learn more about the Family Home in Caye Jacmel.
