Florence Loves Houston

My name is Emerson Chambers and I am from Houston, Texas. I attend the University of North Alabama in Florence. The funds we raise here and through efforts in Florence will go directly to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The city of Houston has been absolutely devastated by the flooding during Hurricane Harvey, and Florence wants to do everything we can to help.  The money will go towards supplies for displaced families and rebuilding homes and businesses that were destroyed. I was fortunate enough to help gut and rebuild a house during the flooding in Rosenberg 2 years ago. It took an entire day just to clear out the black mold that had formed and throw away the damaged posessions this family had-which included a child's stuffed animal. It broke my heart to see such destruction in my city then-it's much worse now. Please help these families rebuild their homes and their lives. #HoustonStrong #FloLovesHou
