Moving For Winter

Hi all,

I’m devastated it’s even gotten to this stage where I’m asking for help but I don’t know what else to do. Over the last few of months our area where we live has gone down hill dramatically. To the point where I don’t leave our house with Winter on my own. I already suffer from anxiety so my mental health has gotten worse because of this.

We live in a tiny house and we spend most of the time in our bedroom we’re it’s the warmest place to play. I don’t go out much because our Cul de Sac has gotten so bad with drunks, drug users who sit on the stepped entrance to the Flats 2 doors up at all times of the day & night. It’s affected my mental health really bad & I just don’t know what to do, I’ve written to our council to help with housing but they don’t want to know. I’ve expressed my concerns and it’s almost as if they haven’t even read it!

In order to move house we would need about £1,500. We need help desperately, as I want to be in an area that’s lovely for Winter & not be afraid of going outside with my son on my own . My husbands wage doesn’t cover everything though we always make sure the rent is paid. I just can’t go on anymore being in this house, in this area. We just don’t have the money to be able to save for our deposit, vetting, rent and to then move whilst paying our current bills.

I feel enormous amounts of guilt every waking moment because I want my son to have a safe place to live. To have a garden to play and know that we’re all safe. Winter is so special to us and we want him to have the best life possible!

Please help us in any way you can with raising funds so we can move house. I truly appreciate you all already! If we manage to reach our target, any funds after that will go towards decorating Winters New room. He currently doesn’t have one so that’ll be extra special for him.
