Fix the East Mains Fence!

There's lots of stuff in Stonehouse that we'd love to change or make better but we can't easily do, for example, more shops, better leisure facilities, demolish the eyesore buildings across from Indian Times and put something nicer in their place.

But here's an eyesore most of us must walk or drive past regularly which we could easily fix if lots of us contributed just a small amount. I'm talking about the much disputed East Mains Estate fence.

Let's forget about the council, failed attempts to get a factor to take it on, whether the trees or crows are protected, let's just fix the fence and tidy up the area. If we work together we can easily do it.

I've got a good quote from a local company to fix the fence (including random bent slats) and we'll sort out a hit squad next to tidy up the ground once we get the fence fixed. It won't even take many of us to contribute just a wee bit to make it right and get a small bit of the village we all love looking better again.

Let's see if we can get the funds together in a couple of weeks. I've added a wee bit of contingency to be on the safe side.
