Fit4PushUpZ: Challenge

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Steven Anastasia, and I am Fit4PushUpZ. Growing up I loved to play sports; idolizing athletes like Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky; baseball legends like Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio, and Lou Gehrig; and being fortunate enough to meet Mickey Mantle.
"Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is."

I started playing baseball in elementary school, before switching to soccer year-round. I played for 5 years on the travel team, making the State District team as I got older. In seventh grade I gave up soccer to try football, which I played through the end of high school, starting varsity my senior year. I also played 4 years of basketball in middle school and got back into Little League baseball, stealing home in all-star game to win the game one year. While playing in the Babe Ruth League, I was called up to play on the championship winning team.
Freshman year I was forced to make a tough decision. I chose to pursue lacrosse over baseball, where I scored 2 goals my first night playing at a winter clinic. I later went on to start varsity as a senior, leading the team in assists that year. I earned my way into the Connecticut Senior All-Star Game and scored a goal while playing amongst many High School All-Americans.

I started a few games during the year I played club lacrosse at UConn-Storrs. I had a few multi-point efforts, including a goal against nationally ranked Virginia Tech. I also had the privilege in high school to be a part of the legendary CAVEMEN intramural basketball team, wearing a can of Whoop-Ass on our sleeves.

I was never the biggest guy growing up, but pound for pound I was pretty strong. My first real experience with a push-up contest was when I was in Boy Scouts. We spent a weekend at the West Point Military Academy for a jamboree. They had activities throughout the weekend such as a shooting demonstration with M-16's and the infamous "fire bucket brigade". It was a big goal for scouts to try and impress the cadets, in an effort to get a piece of their brass for our uniforms.

"On my honor, I will do my best

To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the scout law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight."
    ~ Scout Oath

That weekend I challenged a cadet to a pushup contest and although I didn't win, I still earned his respect and got my brass pin. I was only 16 when I became an Eagle Scout, earning merit badges like Sports, Physical Fitness, Skiing, and Swimming along the way. Becoming an Eagle Scout taught me a lot about Leadership, Hard Work and Dedication.

Like many of my friends, I started smoking cigarettes in high school. It's been over 4 years now since I quit. A few years ago I started going to the gym again to get back into shape. I was able to run a 5k for the first time ever, and was quickly able to work myself up to 5 miles on the treadmill.

Unfortunately, I suffered an ankle injury at work in 2013 and was forced to stop running for almost a year. I've gotten back into HIIT and other cardio workouts, and over the past 6 months have been spending time doing push-ups again. After shedding some unwanted pounds, I told myself I wanted to do 1,000,000 push-ups. I started looking into some of the current Push-Up World Records, and the Fit4PushUpZ Challenge was born.

Mission Statement: I'm challenging myself physically to the brink of destruction in an ongoing push-up contest; in an effort to raise money, awareness, and support as I build a successful marketing brand and entertainment business from the ground up; and to generate funds for other businesses and online ventures.

The Fit4PushUpZ Challenge will begin precisely at 9:26:53AM on the morning of March 14th, 2015 in commemoration of National Pi Day.

Once challenge #1 gets underway,  I pledge 10 "Perfect Push-Ups" for every dollar I raise using the Perfect Pushup Elite. I will be starting Week 1 with 250 Push-UpZ per day, doing 10 sets of 25. I will sequentially add Push-UpZ and sets over the course of a 13 week schedule shown below, in an attempt to reach one of my ultimate goals of video recording 1,000,000 "Perfect" Push-UpZ. I will be maxing out after the final week of the first challenge to mark my progress.
I will be making "shout out/dedication" videos to all of my sponsors and posting them to my YouTube Channel; trying to build a bigger audience using my fitness-based marketing brand, Fit4PushUpZ.  Your name will be listed on my website as an official sponsor, and the videos will be  produced and released in the order in which you become a sponsor. I will be giving away Limited "Launch Edition" silicone bracelets to my first 500 sponsors. Each bracelet comes individually wrapped with a personalized thank you note. The degree of quality and design increase with each level, so grab yours before they're gone! Check out the reward tiers below to see other prizes including The Perfect Pushup Elite, an iPod Shuffle, and the FitBit Flex activity tracker.
I will also be offering Perfect Fitness Product Kits and Workout Apparel Packages, as well as other fitness items for sale soon on my website. I will be pledging Push-UpZ for everything I sell from my online store.

The Money/Donations
will immediately start going towards sustaining my new workout regimen. If things go as planned, I will have a lot of pushups to do! This includes a larger diet made up of lots of organic fruits, vegetables and proteins (no I'm not going Vegan), as well as a strategic workout plan. This will allow me to train multiple times throughout the day maximizing the speed of my progression.

Some of the money will also be going towards the launch of my OFFICIAL WEBSITE , where I will be keeping a more detailed log of progression, tracking my fitness and nutrition, as well as offering recipes, workout plans and other training tips and videos.
After I begin to gain more followers on YouTube, I can start releasing other videos such as my "Coaster Cam" series, filming roller coaster rides in 4K Ultra High-Resolution Definition, as well as a new series of time-lapsed and slow-motion videos.

I am also in the process of re-opening a new eBay store under the name Kool-And-Kollectable .  I started my first eBay store in 2008, but was unable to secure a location  and had to shut down. I will be selling movies, books, video games from all generations, records, musical instruments, and more!

Those of you that know me personally already know I share a huge passion for photography. I started off trying to sell stock images on iStockphoto with a Sony point and shoot camera but haven't been very successful due to resolution/quality issues.
I've since invested in a Nikon Digital SLR and have taken thousands of new high resolution images. I have spent the past year organizing a new portfolio of sunsets, landscapes, macros and other professional quality shots. I would like to sell portraits and canvas prints, as well as begin publishing photobooks.
