Bringing Inclusive Play to Northeast Ohio
There are approximately 3,000 children with special needs or disabilities in Portage County, Ohio, and according to the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities, this number is increasing.
With no inclusive playgrounds in Portage County, Fields Playground Group is partnering with Randolph Township to construct Portage County’s first inclusive playground at Old School Park on State Route 44. In addition to the playground, the space will provide ample parking, ADA-compliant bathroom facilities, and a picnic pavilion. There is also plenty of space to grow and expand the facility in the future.
This inclusive playground will provide children the opportunity to play together no matter their ability level or age, bringing them the freedom to play, explore, create and imagine without limitations!
