Miracles for Dayven

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein

On February 19, 2013 a light by the name of Dayven came into this world. He entered bringing so much joy and love with him, but also baring extreme physical hardships.  Dayven was born with two genetic disorders; Noonan Syndrome and Brugada Syndrome – a combination that the doctors have never seen before in one child. Though Noonan’s syndrome comes with many extreme issues, for Dayven the most serious is a significant heart valve malformation.  Also having Brugada syndrome (which among other things is a cause of SADS – sudden arrhythmia death syndrome), Dayven has faced and will continue to bravely face many challenges ahead.
Though heartbroken to witness a child's suffering, Dayven's parents, brother and family have also been witness to so many miracles thus far - including the miracle of Dayven's happy, inquisitive and loving nature throughout his many trials.  In the midst of so many painful procedures and a myriad of medicines, treatments and hospitalizations - there is always a beautiful and telling light in Dayven's eyes. Each day he teaches all of us how to be grateful and how to be generous of spirit despite what we might be living and suffering through.

Though I know there is the Divine working in Dayven, I also know he is following the path his parent's have paved for him by never complaining and never faltering in their love and care of their family.  Despite unbelievable medical expenses, many frightening and life-threatening moments with Dayven and navigating the 'new normal' of life that at times has even included medical staff living in their home to help care for Dayven - his parents have never wavered in their love and support of what will be a life-long path to healing.

As his aunt and their sister - I am humbled and so proud of this beautiful family and am hoping that alleviating at least some of the burden of what appear to be insurmountable bills (current and coming) and thus at least that portion of stress might be of help.

I see a beautiful and miraculous future for Dayven and his family and hope you will support them in this journey as well.

With love and many prayers,
Jennifer
