Ethan's road to recovery

On December 19, 2015, Ethan Thompson, son of Roanoke City Firefighter/Paramedic Loren Thompson and wife Marcy, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his cerebellum,  right above the brain stem; it was 6.5 cm.  Ethan had had migraines, nausea and vomiting for three months at the time his parents had him scheduled with peds neuro but the soonest they could schedule him was February, 2016. Fortunately, peds neuro had a cancellation and was able to see Ethan on December 17,2015.   
As I'm sure you could imagine, the diagnosis of a brain tumor in a 16 year old was life changing for him, his family and everyone who knows them. Ethan was scheduled for surgery 2 days later, on December 21st, which left him with Posterior Fossa Syndrome.
Ethan has undergone extensive therapy since his surgery. He has been to four different hospitals,  including  CRMH, one in Lynchburg, one in North Carolina and one in Georgia. Through all of this Ethan's parents have not left his side, one of them has always been with him and even his little sister Allison has been with him as much as possible.
This wonderful, Godly family has been through so much and until now have not asked for anything; though their community has helped with fundraisers here and there. 
I am hoping that through this GoFundMe we can help them raise money to offset travel expenses as they will be traveling back and forth to Atlanta for therapy, for at least 5-6 weeks, starting after Christmas. 
Ethan has come such a long way and his therapy is vital to his success at this point.
