I am Feidin Santana, the man who recorded/showed the world the fatal shooting of Walter Scott by a police officer on April 4, 2015.
After taking the decision to come forward with my video, and exposed the injustices in this case, many things would never be the same.
Retributions, death threats and many other negatives reactions by some people - who were angry by my decision- have make me consider asking for your help so I can relocate temporary to a safer place, for my own safety, and my family.
Today, even though these negative outcome have impact my life, I don't regret anything related to my actions on that day. Due to my video, that former officer is facing a murder charge and there is hope that justice will be serve.
Many people have consider me a hero because of it and yet, I dont see myself or my actions in any type of heroic ways. I always have believe is the role of every citizen to come forward against any type of injustices and not let your fear become silent.
The reason I decided to start this campaign is to raise funds so I can establish myself in a safer place.
Funds raised in this campaign will go directly to assisting me in relocating to a safe location and also to protect/support my family.
