Feed The Homeless

Hello. My name is Corey McDaniel known as The Food Architect. I am a classically trained Vegan Chef committed to the enhancement of my community through the proper preparation of fresh flavorful dishes, Yoga (physical fitness), and most importantly public service. I have an undeniable calling on my life to help others. As a former co-owner of a food truck, I started a feed the homeless initiative in 2014.  For over 4 years now I have tried my best to feed 50-75 of our homeless residents each week. The cost for me to do this is approximately $1.75/person. I am paid each week for my time and energy by the love a gratitude exchanged from my homeless friends and the universe alike....and nothing else. I realized a long time ago, the distance between the “have” and “have nots” is not as big as we would like to believe. Each of us are just a few checks from being homeless ourselves. We must appreciate what we have been blessed with and through that, do our part to be a blessing to others. Each week cost anywhere between $87.50 and $131.25 depending on the number of people we connect with. The last couple of weeks I have had a number of people ask how they could help me with this initiative. I know we live busy lives and sometimes we get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, we lose sight of what is truly important. While we drive high priced cars, indulge in overpriced clothes and food, we must not forget there are people on our streets starving. Always remember the further the divide between the have and have nots grows, the closer to danger your own personal reality comes to changing. We can either be part of the problem or part of the solution….but not both. No one is going to save us but us. ANYTHING you can give to help this cause is greatly appreciated by me and the homeless residents of the city that at times are forgotten
