Help a Family in Need
Donation protected
A few weeks ago, tragedy struck my friends. Their three grandchildren (ages 10, 7 and 6) were effectively orphaned and homeless, and their 11-month-old baby brother was killed. My friends acted quickly and managed to take the three kids into their care, narrowly avoiding their remand to state foster care. Fortunately they're being granted full custody.
They love these children and prefer not to see this as a burden. They have most of their immediate needs covered, but the ongoing financial responsibility is obviously huge. This campaign goal is small: just enough to provide ***$250 per month toward food costs in 2017; I will personally match half of every dollar raised up to half of the campaign goal, and I will also cover all transaction fees so they receive the amounts pledged in full. The money will be given monthly in the form of grocery gift cards.
My friends are not aware of this campaign, and I also want to respect their privacy so I intend to keep them anonymous. Bearing this in mind, if you have any questions please ask. When the campaign ends I will share the donor list with them in case they want to follow up. If you don't want your name included please let me know and I will list you as anonymous.
