Russell Holter is a published author who works for the State of Washington in the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation. In recognition of his contributions to local history, Holter was honored with a Murray Morgan Award. Holter is the co-author of the book Rails To Paradise, the story of the train which ran to Mount Rainier National Park.
In his latest publishing endeavor, Holter has chronicled the little known disaster of July 4, 1900 in his new book: The Fateful Fourth. This book take a candid, and sometimes gory, look into the lives of 44 persons who rode a Tacoma streetcar to destiny. The book will look at the history of Independence Day celebrations in Washington Territory and the City of Tacoma's attempts to lure tens of thousands to people for a turn-of-the-century celebration of independence that would be remembered for generations.
Pre-sale orders of the book were undertaken recently, this campaign will allow potential purchasers the opportunity to buy the book using electronic fund transfers. Funds raised in this campaign will be budgeted toward acquiring copyrights, graphic arts design, book layout, and publishing.
The author intends to take delivery of The Fateful Fourth by Thanksgiving 2016 for circulation to purchasers and retailers. To make this deadline, the print order must be made soon. Nearly 20-years of research went into this book to ensure the utmost of accuracy. Please assist me in seeing this project through to the end.
