FAT TO FIT - Running a 5k obstacle

I’ve decided to take on this challenge half way through my healthier lifestyle journey.

Those of you that know me will know that this is a massive achievement  for me as I had got myself into a bit of a mess and could barely walk around the corner without feeling like I was going to die 8 months ago. Through my own self abuse I felt like a prisoner in my own body and now feel free and able to take on anything!

I have chosen to raise money for Truro Samaritans as they provide a fantastic service listening to people in distress and with the recent failings of the mental health services in Cornwall it’s a really important resource for people in need.

Mental Health effects us all, 84 men a week take their own lives! That’s 12 a day! Cornwall has the second highest suicide rate in the uk.  In June this year Truro Samaritans answered 2356 calls, 225 emails, 208 texts and saw 35 face to face callers. They have no government funding and is ran solely by volunteers. It costs £54,000 yearly to keep the only centre in Cornwall open.

I would like to raise as much money as possible in the short time I have!

I look forward to your support
