"Fast" Food Drive for Unity

Donation protected

WHAT IS THE "FAST" FOOD DRIVE?
The “Fast” Food Drive is a 21-day prayer, fasting & giving drive (November 1-21) focused on building a unified Body of Christ to engage with the people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK or North Korea).

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
(1)  PRAY using our 21-day devotionals and prayer topics found on www.reah.org/fastfood
(2)  FAST meal(s), daily coffee fix, technology -- whatever God places on your heart to fast and hunger more for Him.
(3)  GIVE what you would have spent on those meals/drinks toward Reah’s programs that work toward building unity in the Body as we engage the people of the DPRK.

So, for example, if you:

* fasted lunch for 21 days, at $10/lunch x 21 days, you would donate $210
* fasted your daily coffee fix, at $5/drink x 21 days, you would donate $105
* fasted technology or habit, you would donate the amount God placed on your heart

WHAT IMPACT WILL MY DONATION HAVE?
Your generous donations will go to support Reah's unity building programs:

Fieldworkers Retreats: These retreats foster unity and cooperation among fieldworkers and create a space for field workers to be spiritually refreshed and renewed.
Third Culture Kids (TCK) Retreats/Camps: One of the major goals of these retreats/camps is to help the children of these field workers realize their significance.
YUST Leadership Institute Program: The YUST Leadership Institute Program is a year-round undergraduate program at the Yanbian University of Science & Technology to increase students’ self-awareness so that they will begin to take the next steps in inner healing, career planning, and leadership/career development.

WHY ARE WE DOING THE "FAST" FOOD DRIVE?
1 Corinthians 12 talks about God creating the Body, baptized under One spirit to form one Body, and united as One under the headship of Christ, but comprising many unique parts. Furthermore, verse 26 says, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

Through the “Fast” Food Drive, we want to both celebrate the diversity of the Body of Christ and for greater unity as we engage in DPRK-related work. Our devotionals aim to highlight various topics of praise and petition around corporate unity, as we share testimonies of victories and challenges both on the field and home fronts.

As we become more aware of how God has created the Body and how we are functioning in part and as a whole, we want to respond by coming before God in prayer and fasting … that we will be one Body that suffers and rejoices together on our knees, united in Christ’s love and His finished work on the Cross.

As we pray, fast and hunger for God, we hope that our mild discomfort will be a small reminder of those in the Body who are suffering, as well as those who are spiritually starving and have yet to know God's love.

We pray that this will be a time of deepening our love for God and for one another so that we can be open channels for God’s love to flow freely and fully into the people's lives on the Korean peninsula.

JOIN US TO PRAY, FAST, & GIVE for God to be glorified through His Body as we love the people of the DPRK!
