All of the money donated will be used to move out of my husband's house (rent a moving truck or pod, find boxes, pay for fuel, etc), and pay for my teenage daughter and orphaned grandchildren's needs until I can find a job out-of-state and away from my STBX.
My husband has been emotionally and financially abusive for 20 years. Two years ago, he moved us all the way across the country promising us a better life and a chance to finally put some roots down. Instead, he brought us to his toxic family. They started in on us within 48 hours of arrival. His mother constantly told our daughter that she was not her father's (because she looks too white) and his nephew physically assaulted (closed fist punch to the jaw) our daughter on New Year's Day 2016. I demanded that my husband cut ties with his family until they made the assault right. They refused to make the assault right. Instead, he started seeing them behind mine and my daughter's back. Completely devastating our daughter because it became clear to her that he was not going to protect her. Instead of standing up to his family he decided to cheat knowing that I've always maintained that cheating would be a deal-breaker. When he was caught cheating he told our daughter and I that he was dying from cancer and only had six months to live. That was almost 10 months ago.
After our divorce is final (Hopefully by October 2017), I would like to be as far away from him as possible. We need money to move. Deposit on utilities. First month's rent and security deposit. I'm scared sick.
My car is 15 years old and in need of repairs. When it goes out we will not have any transportation.
When my oldest daughter died from a heart attack, we took in her three grandchildren (their father is in prison for 20 years) . My husband assured everyone at my daughter's funeral that her children would be taken care of until they reached adulthood. He soaked up all the admiration and respect that people gave me for stepping up. He assured our teenage daughter that she would be able to go to college if she did everything right, --no drugs, no drinking, no sex, etc. She did. She has graduated high school and has been accepted into several colleges but there is no money to hold her spot or to get her started. She will have to sit out a semester until we get out of here.
I need help so bad. I have to go and never look back.
