Santa Rosa Family Home Lost in Fire

Michele, a 4th grade teacher at Santa Rosa's Strawberry Elementary School, woke up on October 10th without a home. As flames began to engulf their Santa Rosa home in the early morning hours of October 9th, the Padgett family - Brian, Michele, and their kids Aiden (10) and Ava (7) - fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs; Brian didn't even have time to grab his wallet. They drove out in what Brian described as a "fire storm" just hoping to make it out alive.
The good news is that they are all okay. But their home, and everything that they had built together as a family, was wiped out - including all those special memories and items like Aiden's rock collection, all of Ava's art supplies, the pieces of pottery Brian brought back for Michele on each of his business trips.
Luckily the family has temporary shelter at Brian's uncle's home while they try to pick up the pieces. They were saddened to hear that they wouldn't receive any FEMA funding since they have insurance. They were then delivered a second blow when they discovered that insurance will only cover half the value of the home, which means they won't receive any reimbursement for any of their belongings. Obviously they are in need of everything right now. So as a first step, I started a GoFundMe so that those of you that love the Padgetts and those of you who are looking for a a place where you can take some of your grief for those struggling through this devastation and you can turn it into action.
People have given from $5 to $1,000 and every single donation has been seen and appreciated. Please give whateever you can.
