Andrew Randall’s family received the devastating diagnosis that their son has bone cancer on August 11, 2015. Andrew has had multiple X-RAYS/ CT/MRI & bone scans, and these tests confirmed chondroblastic osteosarcoma of his right pelvic bone.
Andrew first noticed an unusual lump on his upper RT glute. After visiting his family practitioner, he was sent to an orthopedic surgeon to further review his test results. The surgeon then sent him to City of Hope Cancer Treatment Center where his diagnosis was confirmed.
Only one week into his senior year of high school, Andrew had to start chemo on 8/24/15 at City of Hope in Duarte, Ca. After 7 weeks of chemo he underwent surgery to remove an 8 cm tumor from his pelvic area on 12/9/15. The surgery, called a hemipelvectomy, removed part of his pelvis, cartilage, & tissue. The tumor was tested & its necrosis was only 50%, but the margins were clear! Andrew is currently using a walker during his recovery, but hopefully will be able to walk unassisted with physical therapy this February. He will continue to require chemotherapy until May. Andrew is currently enrolled in online school & hopes to graduate with his class on May 26, 2016. He has handled his illness with much dignity and strength despite the grueling treatment and surgical pain.

This GOFUNDME page will help to defer the exorbitant after insurance medical costs and transportation, meals, and lodging when Andrew is in the hospital.
