Creig and Q's Run for Rett Syndrome

Donation protected
Donate to find a cure for Rett Syndrome, for the 1 in 5000 girls born with this neurological disorder!
A family in my community whose daughter was born with Rett Syndrome has inspired my son and I to raise money for research and resources for families affected by this little known disorder. Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that predominately affects females. It impairs speech and mobility- babies that seemed to be developing normally suddenly regress and lose the ability to speak and walk. Researchers believe that Rett Syndrome is curable however this little known syndrome is underfunded. As researchers seek treatment solutions and a cure, children born with Rett Syndrome and their families endure a great deal of physical and emotional challenges and require support and resources for daily functioning.
My son Quinten and I are committed to raising $5000.00 by July 17th. This is the date that we will run a Spartan race for this important cause. Four years ago I was in a terrible car accident that left me with a broken femur and internal damage. My body has spent a great deal of time healing and now this extra motivation has inspired me to get back into shape to run this 6 kilometre run with over 20 obstacles. Reaching the goal of $5000 dollars and pushing my body to new limits will be a challenge in the next month- but with your support we can do it.
With your help the future is hopeful!
