I Need a Lawyer!

Recently, I was on the way to drive a friend home. On a street that had many speed limit signs hidden, I unknowingly was going over the speed limit and was pulled over. The officer stated that he smelled marijuana from my car and asked if I had any. I am a medical marijuana user for pains and a small case of insomnia. I also was not high at the time of this traffic stop. The officer proceeded to give me a sobreity test and claims that I had failed it. Even though, I had explained to him that I am slightly uncoordinated. He continued to cuff and detain me under the charges of driving under the influence of marijuana. After throwing me into their squad car they searched my car and confiscated my medical marijuana.

I believe I was wrongfully charged because I was not smoking at the time of arrest nor was I still feeling any effects of the marijuana. What started out as what should've been a speeding ticket, turned into a DUI for Marijuana

The lawyer I intended to hire specializes in DUI cases and would love to help me out. The only problem is that I can't afford him and representing myself could land me into even more trouble.

My court date is on October 20, 2014. The lawyer told me I have until then to drop a deposit. Please, I really need your help!
