Mission Trip to Guatemala

Danielle and I are writing to you because we are going on a mission trip to Guatemala through the “Send Me” program in order to help build homes for those in need. We were inspired to go because of the large amount of widows and split families in Guatemala that have lost all of their prospects due to violence and turmoil in the country in their recent past. These families need a stable home to live and that’s where we come in. We are going with a small team of people in March of 2018 and our objective is to help build homes for those families and to install water filters for various existing homes in the area to help combat the issue of clean water. We feel very strongly about going on this trip and the goals that we will achieve. We want to make a positive difference in other people’s lives and we feel this is a great way to do it. However, we need your help in order to go on this trip. We are attempting to raise $4,000 in total for this trip. This money will pay for the cost to get to Guatemala, for supplies to help build homes for displaced families, and for the water filters that we will install in existing homes. If you feel moved to contribute to our trip, we would greatly appreciate any contributions. We would ask that you write checks out to “Bethel Baptist Church” with the memo stating “Guatemala trip for Danielle and Marcus Songer.” Please mail these checks to:
