Ezra Fund!

Hi,
My name is Eesaa Ali.  Most people may know that I am currently going through an extremely messy custody battle to be able to see my son, Ezra. However, what you may not know is that I have been struggling with this for almost two years, and in the process I have had the most important part of my life basically taken away from me.

My son Ezra is almost three years old. The last time I was allowed the opportunity to have a consistent relationship with my son was two years ago. My parenting time with my son went from 50/50 when we separated, to very restricted and very minimal. I am starting to feel defeated as I have no control in seeing him even though there is a court order stating my visitation rights.

Ezra has a very rare blood condition called Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA) Which is the same diagnosis as Audree Nethery, the little girl who sings and dances on Ellen and YouTube. Ezra’s condition is a terminal illness that less than 1000 people in the whole world have been diagnosed with.

We don’t know the exact life expectancy of DBA patients, but it is not uncommon for children to pass away under the age of 10. Ezra does not produce red blood cells and one day, Ezra will need a bone marrow transplant.

Because of my sons’ diagnosis, the time I have to fight for him is extremely limited.

So I turn to you... 

My girlfriend and I are currently $15,000 nearing $20,000 in debt for lawyers trying to have our court order enforced.  I have missed out on almost everything in Ezra’s life so far and all I want is to be able to care for my son and spend quality time with him like I used to be able to in the beginning.  Any money raised will only go towards NEW legal fees so we can continue our fight. Any money left over will be donated to BC Children’s hospital in Honour of Ezra.
