Silver Sands Burglary Recovery

We are a small public Montessori charter school in Henderson, Nevada.  We are a five star performance rated school serving 285 students from K through 8th grade from all over Clark County.

Over Spring Break, our school was burglarized.  Taken were an entire computer lab of iMac/MacMini computers, a mobile storage/charging cart of iPads, classroom laptops, office computers and several flat screen TVs.  There was damage to several interior and exterior doors as well.  The majority of these items were paid for with a Federal grant that is irrecoverable.  
We will be using these funds to replace the items that were taken from us.  
 
This could not have happened at a more inopportune time, as State testing is scheduled to start this week.  Being a Montessori school we have a strong foundational commitment to our students and community.  We will diligently work towards restoring our school's damages and loss, as well as reassuring our students that their school will continue to be the safe and nurturing environment to which they are accustomed.
