Support TADA by motivating me!

I set out in 2020 with the objective to run a marathon, only for COVID-19 to lead to the cancellation of my goal event after months of early morning and late night training sessions. Instead of letting that training go to waste, why not put it to good use and couple it to a fundraiser for an organization that closely aligns with where I personally believe there is a great deal of injustice to be helped out of this world.
That is why I will run my first marathon, alone, on June 14th, for the benefit of TADA. It would mean very much to me and TADA if you were to donate some change!
I learned about TADA (Toekomst Atelier De l'Avenir) through my partner and since took an interest in their activities. Their social mission can be summarized to: "To motivate socially vulnerable young people to engage with life with a positive image of themselves, society and the world of work."
TADA wishes to break the unfortunate pattern that in Belgium, disadvantaged youth in challenging neighborhoods do not enjoy a social elevation when going to local schools. In other words, there is inequality in education.
TADA focuses on socially vulnerable youth and schools in challenging neighborhoods in Brussels. They do this mainly through 3 activities:
- They offer intense, structural coaching to socially vulnerable teenagers through weekend-school-programs
- They have an active alumni network that offers continuous learning programs and activities
- They build bridges between children and the greater society and labor market by e.g. inviting companies to the schools for workshops and extracurricular events
