Hi there, my name is evan (they) and I am reaching out via this fundraiser to humbly ask for financial support!

For about 3 years, I have actively sought out gender affirming top surgery. I have been denied 4 times: once because of insurance issues and three separate times due to medical fatphobia. I have now found a surgeon who will operate on me, but she is in Pennsylvania (I'm in Virginia) and she does not take insurance.

The total cost of surgery and anesthesia comes to $6,675. After doing the math of adding up travel, food, and missed work costs, the total amount needed for the process comes to $10,000.
