The Network of Girls against Human Trafficking (NoGAHT) Gambia needs your support! Founded by survivors of human trafficking in the Gambia, the Network of Girls against Human Trafficking raises awareness on the issue of human trafficking in all its forms with the vision of, some day, bringing an end to this gross violation of the human rights of women and girls.
In the framework of International Women's Rights Day and in partnership with NoGAHT, the European Network of Migrant Women (ENoMW) is raising funds so that the victims-survivors in the Gambia can work in a sustainable and dignified way. As the organisation has worked in precarious conditions since its inception, with this fundraising we aim to provide minimal economic support that will allow women and girls victims of human trafficking in the Gambia to have access to information and self-organise.
In particular, we are raising funds so that NoGAHT can purchase at least four laptops for their members and to be able to provide digital education and literacy to the girls victims of trafficking, as an important part of their empowerment and autonomy activities. Some of the funds will be used for other essential needs such as transportation, counselling or child-care.
We are receiving funds in the name of European Network of Network Women and once the fundraising is complete, we will safely transfer all raised funds to NoGAHT on their account in Gambia. European Network of Migrant Women takes no commission or any other fees through this fundraising. Whatever amount you donate to this fundraiser, the sole beneficiary of it will be NoGAHT.
