Father’s fight for joint custody of his baby girl

This is my son, Dalton, please read his story.  If anyone can find it in their hearts to help him we would be so very thankful.

This is my sweet baby girl, Keira.  She and her twin sister, Tenley, were born at only 26 weeks.  Tenley unfortunately passed away a few months after
birth from health complications.

Before Keira came home from NICU, I was able to buy a new home and couldn’t wait to get a room
ready for Keira (which I did).

Shortly after moving in, I was served a Petition for Custody and Support as Keira’s mother and I are
no longer together.  A week later, I was notified
that my job was laying off 1/3 of the Company,
including my position.  Thankfully, I was able to
find another job after looking for almost two
months; however, it pays less than what I made
before.   

Now I’m left fighting in Court to keep my daughter in my life.  The lawyer I retained did nothing to
fight for my rights and my retainer with him is now depleted.  Now I risk losing my home due to
exorbitant child support in the amount of $1463
per month leaving little money to cover my basic
living expenses.  I can only see my daughter 3x per week for 1 1/2 hours at a time.  During this time,
Keira’s mother and maternal grandmother are
always present and hovering.  I feel like a criminal
in my own child’s life.

If I can’t retain an attorney to fight for me by
November 7th, the Judgment will be Court
ordered and will be harder to modify.

If her mom can’t afford to raise Keira, I would be
more than happy and willing to do so, without the need to financially destroy Keira’s mother in the
process.

To top it all off, my car was stolen last night.  It goes against my pride and everything I believe in to ask
for money.  But this Daddy is desperate to provide for and play an active role in his baby girl’s life.
