Torrential storms washed out our biggest annual fundraiser – the Fall Festival.
We need to raise $54,000 to make up the shortfall.
For several decades, the men and women of the Zionsville Lions Club (who you can always spot by the yellow shirts we wear) have served the Zionsville community in so many ways. We host a variety of annual events in our gorgeous 22-acre park, including Egg-normous Egg-hunt, 4th of July Fireworks, Summer Concert Series, Pumpkins and Hayrides, Fall Festival and several other events that make Zionsville a special place to live. We also provide community services such as eyeglass collection, vision screening for more than 10,000 students in local and surrounding areas, diabetes awareness programs and Leader Dog training, just to name a few. Our motto has always been “Where There is a Need, There is a Lion.”
We are always giving and are happy to do it. But now we need YOUR help. We spend thousands of volunteer hours on these community-building activities, but we also incur annual financial costs to accomplish everything we do. We count on two annual fundraisers to raise the majority of the funds we need to continue this important work in the community: the 4th of July Fireworks and the Fall Festival. Storms and the threat of flooding caused us to cancel the Fall Festival this year, and we are short of our fundraising needs by more than $50,000, not to mention the cost of repairing the damage that was done to our wonderful park grounds from pulling heavy carnival equipment out of the mud.
Please donate to the Zionsville Lions Club so we can continue to provide all of our great events and community services next year and beyond!
