Zina's Volunteer Malawi Expedition

Hi Guys,

My name is Zina Arinze and I run a Divorce Reinvention and Abuse Recovery Coaching Service - Believe and Live Again.

It is with gratitude, excitement, and joy that I can now formally announce that I have been invited to join Ania Jeffries and a group of 12 other volunteer female entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and walks of life to embark upon the Female Entrepreneur Collaborative Challenge Expedition to Malawi from 13th to 20th October 2018

I am absolutely thrilled to be going on this challenge with amazing women, many I have never met, successful in their own worlds.

I have never gone on an expedition challenge before, the closest I have been is dropping off my two daughters when they were younger for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Award - Hiking and Camping Challenge. Again, as a single mum used to doing things in threes with my two daughters, this is way out of my comfort zone, yes, even for me.

However, this trip is an awesome opportunity and an adventure of a lifetime for me not only to test my own personal resilience in mountain hiking but also to give back at a global scale and to learn through tailored made immersive community initiatives , so as to gain a deeper understanding at ground level of the key global challenges women and children in other communities completely different to what I am familiar with, have to face and cope with in their day to day living. For instance, coping with their own flavour of gender-based issues like child marriage, divorce, widowhood, remarriage, gender-based violence.

When I started Believe and Live Again Divorce Recovery Coaching in 2012, my overall long-term vision has always been to be in the position to deliver free global gender-based knowledge sharing and capacity building initiatives to female divorce and abuse professionals as well as offering divorce recovery coaching to women and their children who have been stigmatised, marginalised and excluded on account of divorce and domestic abuse.  I am so pleased that this opportunity has now presented itself.

As a lawyer and a divorce recovery coach, I have worked with so many women who have become stuck because of the limiting beliefs they have accumulated after the grief and trauma of divorce. In my experience, many women find themselves plagued with the emotional baggage of not being able to let go of the past, low self-esteem, diminished confidence, fear for the future, overwhelm, confusion, rejections, unforgiveness, bitterness and so much more. I know this from first-hand experience after my own abusive marriage and subsequent divorce and that is why I went on to train as a certified divorce recovery and reinvention coach to help other women heal and get through the trauma as I have.

I have got to say that my inspiration for this trip is the women and children in Malawi stigmatised, marginalised and excluded on account of divorce and domestic violence. Research suggests that Malawi has one of the highest rates of divorce in Africa. I am hoping to not only learn more about their experience but also share with them many coping skills, emotional healing strategies and reinvention techniques that I have also taught many women and their children on how to deal with the challenges of life after divorce and or abuse, so that they are able to transition from we to me  to regain their positive sense of self and reinvent themselves to rediscover their hidden talents, create sustainable income and relearn how to find and build lasting positive relationships with themselves and others.

This expedition is going to be incredible and I would like to invite you to come on this expedition with me too by sponsoring me through your donations. This life-changing work would not be possible without your help, not only to get me there but to also to bring starting over opportunities, knowledge and capacity building to divorce and abuse professionals as well as the much-needed support to families in need.

The amount required to cover the expedition is £3200, this covers flights, medicals, the hiking mountaineering challenge, training materials and coaching resources etc. To put this in perspective, A £10 donation will provide the coaching, tools, and resources for a Mother or two children, empowering them for a lifetime, while  A donation of £25 will provide capacity building train the trainer and tools to help create a sustainable lifestyle one child for a lifetime.

If you are an individual or a business looking to make a global difference and would like to sponsor me, please go over to go to my fund me page - I would be sooo grateful. I am also happy to receive a limited number of your business/personal branded materials, books, tools and resources that are relevant and useful not only to the divorce and abuse professionals I will meet but also to the women and children of Malawi. I will also wear your logo in photos and mention you too in my regular media updates....yes we have a renowned TV producer and an exceptional photographer coming along on this expedition too. Your donation will make all the difference. THANK YOU!

I now understand more why my Walk2for2019 is even more important. I thought I was doing it to be fitter and healthier by December 2018 but as the play unfolds, it is now clear that I need to be in much better shape for the Malawi Expedition in October. God and serendipity has a way of bringing everything together....and to think I started my personal walking challenge literally 12 days ago.

Please SHARE this too with your friends and family, thanking you very muchly! God Bless
