ZERO HUNGER – HELPING OUR FRIENDS IN BALI

I heard it said once, that “we can’t do everything, but we must do something.”

And in these crazy times, the something we can all do, is look outward and support those in need, those doing it tough during this worldwide pandemic.

After living in Bali for a few years, my heart breaks for what’s been happening as a result of the pandemic in this beautiful paradise.

With over 80% of Bali’s economy coming from tourism, the island, home to over 4 million people has been devastated, many families finding it impossible to find ways just to put food on the table every night.

I’ve stayed in contact with a lot of friends and staff from the island, doing what I can to help during this time. If that’s financially helping, or just giving them a call to say hi and check in with them.

My friend and previous driver in Bali, Nyoman Sudiana, who lives with his wife Julie, son Rio, and mother and father, has been sharing the reality of what the COVID pandemic has done to the families on the island.

When he tells me the devastation, the poverty, the depression, and the hopelessness, I knew we had to do more!

That’s why as Execute Digital, my digital marketing agency based here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, we are making a commitment to Nyoman, and to the people of Bali, to do something about it.

Nyoman shared with me, for just 150,000 Rupiah ($15 Australian Dollars), we can provide meal packs to in need families in Bali that will look after them for close to a month!

The meal packs are small… Just rice, eggs, noodles, and oil, but like it’s said, “we can’t do everything, but we must do something.”

So at Execute Digital we are partnering with Nyoman and his sub-community within the typically thriving tourist area of Legian, to feed as many families as possible each month.

We are starting with 100 meal packs, and hope that our small gift might be a blessing to families that are currently going without.

We will keep you updated on this blog with our progress, but know that as a company, we are blessed to be a blessing, and with Bali, so close to my heart, the place I started this Digital Marketing Agency, this is the least I can do!

I encourage you, as Australians, if you’ve been to Bali, you’ve been looked after by these beautiful humans, then you too can do something.

There is so much need, and it’s time we came together to do something.

We are aiming at 1,000 meal packs every month so we need your help!
