Help street children in India
Donation protected
Hello,
In November I will embark on a solo journey to India for 4 months to volunteer with street children in the surrounding areas of New Delhi. I will be volunteering through a program called International Volunteer HQ.
UNICEF's estimate of 11 million street children living in India is considered to be a conservative figure. Every day these children must work the streets with their parents to support their family and are often denied a childhood, education and medical support. The majority of these children are victims of physical, sexual and emotional exploitation and abuse. The program I am working with aims to bring joy, fulfillment and new perspective to these children and families that they may never have otherwise.
My goal is to raise $2,000 by November 1, 2012. 100% of your donation will go towards these children. I would be happy to provide you with a verification letter from IVHQ to ensure my placement. Please contact me at [email redacted] if you wish to see one.
I will also be keeping a blog while I am there and will post a link once it is up. I will be documenting my journey and hope you will follow along to see where your money will be going.
Thank you very much for your support!
